DTG expands automation and device control

Digital Transaction Group has announced a new way to change or add devices and equipment to be controlled by automation. The company’s Xe automation solution includes an entire library of device drivers.

The Xe starts with 16 or 32 serial device connections, and the device driver library. Users can mix, match, duplicate, add or swap device drivers at anytime. Each driver can be set up with a unique XML personality file, for example, settings with different lag and pre-roll times for the same VTR driver.

There’s no need to reboot the system, since each driver is independent. All devices are shared across all channels and clients. With each of the different classes of DTG drivers, such as matrix routers and master control switchers, users can control multiple devices, protocols, and equipment models.
