Drake recognized for FreeSpeak intercom in Peter Wayne Award Contest


The FreeSpeak has a cellular network of active antennas located around the production environment which is connected directly to the Drake matrix.

Drake Electronics was honored with a second-place Award for Recognition of Achievement in the competition for the Peter Wayne Award at the IABM award ceremony at IBC. (For coverage of the top award winning Professional Optical Disc from Sony, see last week’s edition of IBC Update.)

Drake was recognized for its development of the FreeSpeak digital wireless intercom system.

The Peter Wayne Award is a premier award in the broadcast industry that recognizes leadership in technical design and innovation.

This is the first award that Drake have received from the IABM.
