Dolby to unveil new pro products at NAB

Dolby Labs will introduce several new professional and broadcast audio products at NAB 2006.

Included is the Dolby Media Producer professional suite, a set of tools to support all Dolby coding technologies for disc-based media formats such as HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc, as well as DVD-Video and DVD-Audio formats. The suite includes Dolby Media Encoder, Dolby Media Decoder and Dolby Media Tools.

Also coming is the Dolby DP600 program optimizer, a device Dolby said offers the world’s first intelligent audio analysis and automated loudness normalization engine.

The new 561 encoder module is also slated for NAB, and represents the first Dolby Digital Plus encoder product designed for integration into third-party audio/video products.
