Digital Vision Opens Office in Hong Kong, Appoints Charles
Digital Vision, a supplier of picture-enhancement equipment for film and television post production, has announced the opening of an office in Hong Kong. As part of this expansion into the Asia-Pacific region, the company has also named Peter Charles as director of sales for APAC, who joins from DVS.

The Hong Kong office will allow Digital Vision to support locally its growing business in the region and provide a base for further growth of the business in this emerging market, according to the company. Recent sales in this market include Digital Video, Kalaignar, Adlabs and Shermaroo in India; Moon Beams in Japan; Hua Long in China; and Animal Logic, Post Lounge and Post Modern in Australia.

Charles was head of sales and marketing for DVS for five years. He brings strong relationships with resellers and customers in Asia, Europe, Africa and Australasia.

Previous to DVS, Peter worked at Quantel for six years as general manager of its German sales and operations. He also spent 11 years at Scitex Europe, where he held a number of senior positions in customer support.
