Deadline Passes for FY 2004 Regulatory Fees
If you're paying your FY 2004 regulatory fees to the FCC on Friday, they're late. The fees were due at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19. Late applications will be subject to a 25% penalty, although the commission is giving a break to stations and individuals affected by Hurricane Charley. They may seek a waiver of the penalty and must provide documentation supporting a claim that the effects of the hurricane, such as power outages or erratic mail delivery, affected the timely delivery of the payment.
