Conference to examine media convergence strategies
Television news directors seeking answers to their questions about media convergence may find what they’re looking for in a rather unlikely place, a newspaper industry convention.
In conjunction with the Newspaper Technology Exposition & Conference (NEXPO), The Media Center of the American Press Institute will put on Convergence 3.0 – Future Media Scenarios. The one-day seminar June 18 is intended to deepen the understanding of participants about media changes, how multimedia news audiences behave and convergence.
Among the topics covered:
The state-of-the-art in print, broadcast and online media convergence
Mobile, multimedia audiences and the forces shaping changes in media
Case studies in converged content and revenue ventures
How to plan and manage change in an adaptive organization
A centerpiece of the seminar will be the Media Manifesto, a report from the The Media Center on the steps today’s media companies must take to become tomorrow’s adaptive multimedia information enterprise.
The seminar and convention will be at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. Cost is $400 for Newspaper Association of America members and $500 for non-members.
