Commission to hold next meeting of Localism Task Force

The FCC has announced that its next Localism Task Force hearing will be held May 26 at the Surbeck Student Center Ballroom at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, SD.

Chairman Michael Powell, Commissioner Michael Copps and Commissioner Jonathan Adelstein will preside. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m.

The Localism Task Force is an internal FCC organization. However, members of the public, broadcasters, civic organizations, academics, local governments and any other interested individuals or institutions are invited to participate in the hearings.
