Columbia College employs media production truck as mobile teaching unit

Columbia College Chicago, a private college of fine, performing and media arts, is developing a new media production truck that will serve as a mobile teaching unit.

The school will use EVS’ live slow-motion system to allow students to broadcast live events across Chicago, giving them the opportunity to test-run essential broadcasting and A/V production techniques.

Columbia College recently observed that employers in this field are increasingly demanding that new hires come with an understanding of how to use this type of technology. The school felt this curriculum would provide its students hands-on knowledge of situations they are actually going to encounter in the field.
