CNN uses video podcasts to lure young viewers

CNN has launched a series of new video podcasts designed to lure younger viewers to its news programming.

One program, “The Grist,” is satire using offbeat video clips. Another, “All Access-Backstage Pass,” is a behind-the-scenes look at news correspondents working in the field. Other programs focus on technology, compelling videos and news that non-newshounds may have missed.

The video podcasts are available at no cost and will initially be advertising-free.
