Ciprico MediaVault Now Works with AJA KONA2 Card
Storage provider Ciprico has announced that its Huge Systems MediaVault 4105 and 4210 RAID storage arrays are now compatible with the AJA KONA 2 dual-rate HD/SD capture card.

Grass Valley, Calif.-based AJA offers a line of 10-bit uncompressed QuickTime capture cards work with Final Cut Pro on Mac OS X.

Designed with post-production professionals in mind, the Ciprico Huge Systems MediaVault 4105 and 4210 storage arrays feature 4 GB Fibre Channel RAID storage for uncompressed video storage, digital intermediates, content creation, nonlinear editing, content delivery and more. The five-drive, single-channel MediaVault 4105 records and plays back up to six uncompressed SD video streams and 10-bit 1080i HD content. The arrays deliver throughput performance up to 300 MBps in RAID 0 mode and up to 240 MBps in RAID 3 mode. The 10-drive, dual-channel MediaVault 4210 supports 10-bit 1080i HD content and delivers up to seven uncompressed SD video streams.
