CEA CEO Shapiro To Keynote NAB
CEA President and CEO Gary Shapiro will keynote the NAB2004 Broadcast Engineering Conference on April 18 in Las Vegas with a talk entitled, "Broadcasting in the Balance-A Consumer Tech Perspective." Shapiro has headed CEA since 1991, and is also chairman of the Home Recording Rights Coalition, a role in which he testified before Congress in support of growth of the video rental market, audio recording equipment and MP3 technology. Prior to joining CEA, he was an associate at the law firm of Squire, Sanders and Dempsey, and worked on Capitol Hill as a congressional staffer.
