Camplex to unveil new camera adapter system at NAB

Camplex has introduced its new PRO-X1, a coax/triax camera adapter system produced specifically to enhance the production capabilities of prosumer camcorders.

When interfaced with PRO-X1 systems and a small production switcher, prosumer camcorders can be used not only for live multicamera studio work, but also for previously unheard of live, multicam shots in the field at distances up to 3000 feet between the remote camcorders and the director's control center.

Using a single 75 Ohm cable the PRO-X1 delivers the camcorder's video, program audio and intercom signals to the production control center, and intercom and tally signals along with safe operating power out to the remote camcorder.
