Cablevision adds CNN HD

Cablevision Systems has added CNN HD to its HD programming lineup. The channel is available across Cablevision's entire service area.

CNN HD stands as a separate HD signal offering a programming lineup identical to the CNN/U.S. channel broadcast in the SD format. As part of its initial entry into HD television, CNN produces all of its New York-based programs, select documentaries and special events, including for the first time presidential debates, in HD.

The Nevada Democratic debate and the CNN/YouTube Republican debate air in HD in November. Additional programs produced in HD will include “American Morning,” CNN's new 8 p.m. program anchored by Campbell Brown, “Lou Dobbs Tonight,” “Anderson Cooper 360º,” “Lou Dobbs Weekend,” “Your $$$$$” and “Open House.”
