Business interests of broadcasters not necessarily aligned with those of vendors

What happens when you ask the buyers of broadcast technology (broadcasters) and suppliers of broadcast technology (vendors and systems integrators), "What technology trends are the most important to your business?"

The results might surprise you. My research shows that the commercial motivations of broadcasters and vendors are sometimes at odds with one another.

From the transition to HDTV and automated workflows to 3Gb/s operation, technology buyers have different priorities than technology suppliers.

The results, which are summarized in accompanying chart, show that the commercial motivations of those supplying technology (vendors and systems integrators) are not always aligned with technology buyers (broadcasters).
