BNS chooses Entone products for IPTV clients

Broadband Network Systems, a systems integrator and service provider for broadband TV operators in Asia, said it would incorporate IPTV products from Entone Technologies into its product portfolio.

BNS, based in Hong Kong, will offer its telco and other IPTV customers Entone’s full range of VOD products, including the Encoding Studio for post-production encoding; the Armada, an intelligent asset allocation system; and the StreamLiner network video recorder.

Encoding Studio consists of studio equipment and software for processing, storing, and playing out video assets. It is integrated with encoders from TANDBERG Television and other vendors.

Armada is an intelligent asset allocation solution. It offers tools for scheduled asset replication and pre-caching assets prior to use. Armada's configuration capabilities constantly monitor actual customer behavior and makes necessary adjustments to meet changing needs.

StreamLiner’s VOD server software provides personal television services. In addition to its advanced technology, it future proofs the investment of video service operators by running on open hardware platforms and enabling component selection rather than a single, proprietary system.
