Belo deploys video-over-IP distribution with MaxView

The Texas Cable News is connected to stations in Phoenix and Washington, D.C.
Belo television stations have selected ILC’s MaxView automation and network control software. The company’s Texas, Washington DC, Seattle and Phoenix stations have begun installing the MaxView software for the distribution of news content between facilities and can send each other breaking news segments without requiring costly satellite time. The MaxView with Scenario scheduling system manages digital video equipment and optimizes bandwidth.

Belo has interconnected its six Texas stations (KVUE-TV Austin, KHOU-TV Houston, KENS-TV San Antonio, WFAA-TV Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas Cable News), with the Belo Capitol Bureau in Washington, DC, KING-TV in Seattle/Tacoma, KTVK-TV Phoenix and KMSB-TV Tucson, Arizona.

Visit www.ilc.com to find out more on how Belo is using ILC’s technology.
