Avid to receive second Technical Academy Award

Avid Technology will receive a technical Oscar for its Digidesign Pro Tools audio workstation. The presentation will be made February 14th at the Scientific and Technical Academy Awards. It will be Avid’s second technical Oscar.

The award “will recognize Digidesign for the design, development, and implementation of the Pro Tools digital audio workstation. ”

In 1998, Avid won its first Scientific and Technical Award for “the concept, design and engineering” of the Avid Film Composer system for motion picture editing.
