Amp'd Mobile taps Medio for mobile TV search functions

Mobile entertainment provider Amp'd Mobile and Medio Systems, a developer of mobile search solutions, have joined forces to launch a new search application allowing Amp'd users to quickly find content, usually within two clicks or less.

The application, set to launch this quarter, will be integrated into the Amp'd user interface and features recommendation and personalization technologies for real-time indexing and personalized content, as well as a new search interface called Dynamic Indexing. It will allow for searches across several categories in the Amp'd library, including serial video content currently being developed exclusively for Amp'd, music artists, ringtones, wallpaper and games.

As subscribers tap out a search query, the application instantly presents search results, while predictive algorithms draw upon hundreds of thousands of likely content results to quickly locate content. An intelligent recommendation engine provides relevant choices based on similar content the user has already selected or purchased.
