Alpha TV orders Ross Synergy 4 switcher


Alpha TV will use he Synergy 4 MD-X multi-format HD production switcher for its prime-time news program.

Alpha TV, a broadcaster in Greece, has selected a Synergy 4 MD-X multi-definition production switcher from Ross Video for its primetime news program.

The Synergy MD-X series of multi-format production switchers supports a wide variety of SD and HD video formats. It combines a dual-effects bank control panel with the MD-X live production engine. The switcher offers support for all SD and HD formats.

The switchers feature up to:

  • Ninety-six serial digital inputs
  • Forty-eight serial digital outputs
  • Four UltraChrome chroma keyers
  • Four downstream keyers
  • Eight channels of Squeeze & Tease MD DVE loaded with effects
  • Two Squeeze & Tease MD WARP engines
A full set of device interfaces is available on the Synergy 4 MD-X, to enable control over VTRs, video servers, audio servers, audio mixers, robotic cameras and routing systems.
