AJA Video Qualifies Medea VideoRaid Products for Kona SD
Medea Corporation, a storage solutions provider for digital content creation and Internet streaming media markets, has made its VideoRaid RTR, RTRX and RTS disk arrays compatible with AJA Video Systems' Kona-SD card operating on OS X Jaguar. Kona SD users can now choose between VideoRaid products for storage system protection or continue to use unprotected just-a-bunch-of-disks (JBOD) storage.

VideoRTR and RTRX disk arrays are designed for professional animation, compositing, special effects and non-linear video editing workstations. Video RTR and RTRX feature a single or dual-channel, Ultra160 SCSI interface and field replaceable disk drive modules, power supplies and RAID controllers with Medea's Multi-Stream Technology.

Medea markets Video RTS Ultra 160 SCSI disk arrays as low-cost protected storage alternatives for all DCC applications. Using RAID controller technology from the RTR series, the RTS disk arrays provide data protection in case of a disk drive failure in the same way that the RTR and RTRX do.
