Allbritton Communications' WJLA-TV and NewsChannel 8 have entered into a partnership with WeatherBug to provide viewers with access to localized and current weather reporting. The three year agreement allows WJLA-TV and NewsChannel 8 to access any of WeatherBug's weather reporting stations in real time.
"With instant access to more than 650 live, local weather stations, ABC 7 will be able to offer vital local weather information more accurately, more effectively, more often and over more platforms than any other TV news station in the area," said Doug Hill, ABC 7 chief meteorologist.
As part of its weather reporting network, WeatherBug has more than 1,000 cameras deployed nationwide to allow viewers to get information on localized weather conditions.
