The Advantage Group (TAG), an electronics distribution firm based in Edison, N.J., has signed an agreement with Syntax-Brillian to nationally distribute the Arizona firm's rear-projection HD sets. TAG's distribution network covers the continental U.S.
Syntax-Brillian's HD product is based on its proprietary liquid crystal on silicon (LCoS) technology. Its HD monitor uses a three or six-megapixel light engine designed to increase the contrast ratio, grayscale and deep-black response, and it holds a 170-degree viewing angle, the company said.
TAG has begun distributing HD units through its 10 distribution centers across the United States to its network of nine member distributor companies, which it said represents about 8,000 installers, system integrators and retailers.
