Princeton Video Image Inc. has formed a strategic alliance with Triveni Digital. The two companies will work together to develop PVI's iPoint system and new DTV applications, specifically those related to video insertion and targeted advertising. The companies have also agreed to jointly market and integrate their technology and products, resulting in broader iPoint product offerings. The combination also expands the Triveni SkyScraper platform.
iPoint is a hardware and software system that enables advanced set-top boxes to insert individually targeted and interactive advertising images into video while it is being viewed. The Skyscraper data broadcasting platform is used by broadcasters to distribute enhanced and interactive TV content.
