Pathfire, an Atlanta-based provider of digital content distribution and management technology, is partnering with D S Simon Productions to distribute video news releases, b-roll footage and other short-form content to newsroom desktops throughout the U.S.
D S Simon, a New York-based distributor of news media to the broadcast industry, will deliver video content through the Pathfire Digital Media Gateway (DMG), an automated IP-multicast distribution platform with servers located in broadcast facilities. Michael J. Eckert, Pathfire CEO, notes that newsrooms will have immediate access to video content from D S Simon without manually processing materials and satellite feed schedules.
