Oregon Public Broadcasting Purchases Euphonix Digital Console

Euphonix has been selected by Oregon Public Broadcasting to provide a new Max Air digital audio console for station KTVR in Portland.

The recently announced acquisition is part of a plan to renovate the KTVR production studio. The console will be installed along with high-definition cameras, a new production switcher, new character generators, a monitor wall and other control room equipment.

"The switch to a fully digital production environment at KOPB, which produces content not only for our other family stations, but for the entire PBS system, is a massive undertaking," said Don McKay. "We'll be temporarily closing the production facility during the month of August as we install our new equipment."

McKay expected the installations and renovations to be completed by the end of August.

Oregon Public Broadcasting operates five television stations within the state. All provide both analog and digital television service.
