Nvision Splits the Master Control Uprights for NFL Network

To ensure streamlined, reliable broadcasting to its viewers in the run-up to Super Bowl XLII, NFL Network is using Nvision's master control and router control technology behind the scenes to manage the live programming feeds from the multiple venues.

Nvision systems used for this project include the NV5128-MC multi-channel master control, NV 915 router control, and NV9640 router control panel, which offers up to 30 re-legendable LCD buttons.

In the days before the game, NFL Network is offering more than 100 hours of programming, including "NFL Total Access" on the scene in Arizona with news, features, and interviews all week leading up to the big game. Every press conference is carried live and expanded pre-and-post game shows are part of the coverage.

"Based on our years of experience with Nvision routers for the NFL, we knew Nvision switching equipment could give us the reliability and ease of use needed to manage hundreds of feeds from numerous venues for seamless delivery to our broadcast viewing audience," said Jeff Howard, senior executive for engineering and broadcast technologies at NFL Network. "Nvision service and support, among the best in the business, gives us peace of mind in covering an event the magnitude of the Super Bowl."
