NMT Rolls Out New Mobile Truck

National Mobile Television (NMT), has released its "Side by Side" HD mobile unit, SBS2, which delivers broadcasts in a smaller truck platform.

Venue Services Group (VSG) constructed the mobile unit that can operate stand-alone in an SD or HD environment, providing the capabilities of a larger truck. The 30-foot expando features full audio, graphics and engineering for both SD and HD broadcasts. It includes a GVG Kalypso 2 ME Switcher with HD still store option, Midas Heritage 1000 Audio Console with surround sound mixing, HD/SD EVS 4-channel disc recorder and Chyron Duet graphics. The Telecast Python allows for full SD and HD transmission connectivity.

SBS2--which made its debut the broadcast of a San Francisco Giants and Florida Marlins game working for FSN Bay Area--will serve the Florida market out of NMT's Orlando, Fla. office. The plan is for many visiting RSN telecasters to use this truck in conjunction with other NMT units in the marketplace, according to NMT.

Additionally, the Torrance, Calif.-based company has announced the approval for construction to start on HD11, a full-size 53-foot expando HD truck that NMT plans to roll out in April 2006.
