NFL Network Adds Riedel Intercoms in Facility Upgrade

NFL Network recently upgraded its newly expanded facilities in Culver City, Calif., adding a second studio; 10 edit bays, and increasing its Riedel intercom configuration threefold.

The Riedel installation consists of three Artist 128-port mainframes and nearly 100 control panels.

The fiber-based Artist 128 provides a decentralized network infrastructure for production intercoms and the distribution of analog and digital audio. The fully redundant system features hot-swappable modules and extensive online, real-time system monitoring as well as multiple computer control capability via Riedel Director Configuration software.

Launched in 2003, the NFL Network currently reaches more than 41 million subscribers. Prior to broadcasting from its newly expanded digs on Nov. 23, NFL Network used temporary facilities on site provided by Sweetwater Digital Productions, a Los Angeles-based organization that provides turnkey production system rentals.
