NewTek Goes on Road Tour With HD MINI Cooper

Remember when high-definition production vehicles HAD to be huge? NewTek Inc., manufacturer of streaming video and 3D animation products, is hitting the road in a Cooper MINI to showcase small footprint, portability and ease of use of its products.

The nationwide NewTek TriCasts America Tour, sponsored by Canon U.S.A. and TodoCast, runs Oct. 27 through Nov. 17. The company is billing the car as one of the world’s first, and smallest, live high-definition production vehicles. It will feature the TriCaster XD300 HD portable live production system.

The XD300 offers live switching, live full HD streaming, live virtual sets, multiple effects layers and more. NewTek will also feature 3PLAY, a portable multi-channel HD/SD slow motion replay system.

Each event will also showcase Canon's XH G1S high-definition camcorders.

Event guests also have the opportunity to participate in question and answer sessions with NewTek training and production experts. The MINI Cooper HD live production vehicle, the first of its kind to include HD broadcast and streaming, will be on display at each location.

Registration is available here.

Canon, NewTek and Vitec have also joined to provide four powerful live production bundles that will be featured on the tour. The combination of established products in one bundle includes Canon XH G1S camcorders, NewTek TriCaster Broadcast and high-end Vitec tripod systems with a custom Petrol TriCaster bag.
