NASA TV Provides Digital Satellite Signal to Alaska and Hawaii on AMC-7

NASA started converting its NASA TV satellite delivery service from analog to digital this July. The service is now available as an MPEG-2 digital signal on AMC-6, transponder 17C in the continental U.S. AMC-6 is located at 72 degrees west longitude (WL) and another satellite has to be used to provide NASA TV to Alaska and Hawaii. Starting Oct. 1, NASA TV will be available as a digital signal in Alaska and Hawaii on AMC-7, transponder 18C. AMC-7 is located at 137 degrees WL.

To view the NASA-TV digital signals, a DVB-compliant IRD is required. More information on NASA TV is available at www.nasa.gov/ntv.
