NAB Education Foundation Names New President

Marcellus Alexander was named president of the NAB Education Foundation (NABEF) and will oversee its expanded service. He replaces Chuck Sherman, who is retiring. In addition to his new position, he will remain executive vice president of television at NAB.

NABEF is behind the annual "Service to America" summit, held each June in Washington, D.C. to honor outstanding public service contributions from local radio and television stations. The Foundation's mission includes expanding diversity at key levels in broadcasting through training programs; enhancing the quality of news production; and recognizing radio and television's community service and stimulating new ideas.

NABEF will soon merge its operation with NAB's Human Resource Development Office and Career Center, with Alexander presiding over the consolidation.
