Mobile Group Outfits Fleet With Euphonix

Denver, Colo.-based Mobile Television Group has purchased a sixth System 5-B digital audio broadcast console from Euphonix.

The company has been steadily expanding its fleet since the first System 5 was installed in 2003; each of the HD trucks is 53-feet long with expanding sides to 13-feet, 6-inches and includes Thomson LDK 6000 Triax HD cameras and GVG HD switchers. The sixth System 5 is destined for installation this summer in Mobile TV Group's 12HDX.

The company praised the ability of Euphonix digital mixing systems to integrate with many popular router control systems utilizing the ES-Control protocol, such as the Jupiter and Pesa audio/video router systems currently in the Mobile TV Group's trucks.

"There are many aspects of the System 5 that really separate it from the competition," said Mobile TV Group's General Manager Phil Garvin. "For our requirements, we haven't seen anything else that even comes close to the level of functionality that the System 5 provides. By taking advantage of the System 5's router integration capabilities, we have one system that handles both audio and video in the truck."
