Miranda Technologies announced it was contracted by Media General Broadcast Group to supply a centralized graphics workflow solution, using Miranda’s Xmedia Suite template-based graphics workflow tools.
The XMedia Suite system will support 24/7 access to Media General’s graphics archives, for its news, marketing, sales and special projects departments across the company’s 23 network-affiliated television stations.
“[Miranda’s] workflow solution will significantly strengthen Media General’s ability to provide the quality and quantity of graphics solutions needed by our stations from a new centralized operation in Richmond,” said Ardell Hill, senior vice president of operations at Media General Broadcast Group. “We expect to transition all of our stations to the new operation by the end of 2007.”
The Xmedia Sui The XMedia Suite’s MOS-compliant ENPS and iNews plug-in software enables news producers and journalists to have immediate access to news images, graphic elements and templates directly from their newsroom desktops, including lower thirds, over-the-shoulder graphics images, graphics images, and full-screen builds with animated highlights. Finished graphics can be quickly dragged and dropped into the local news run-downs.
