McGowan Tapped as Pro-Bel Non-Exec Chair

Pro-Bel confirmed the appointment of John McGowan as non-executive chairman of the company. He was involved in Pro-Bel's acquisition by its UK management team in November last year from its parent company, Chyron, and has invested in Pro-Bel. McGowan was jointly appointed by LDC, the venture capitalists that supported the deal, and Pro-Bel. He was selected because of his business experience, which includes positions as managing director, group chief executive, a variety of chairman and chief executive roles. Additionally, he is the current chairman of Icon Polymer Group.

McGowan's new role at Pro-Bel consists of running the board of the company and taking a long-term strategic overview. He also acts as the liaison between external investors and the company's management team.
