Lyon Video Equips New HD Truck With QuStream Gear

Lyon Video, a Columbus, Ohio-based provider of video production equipment, said it would equip its latest high-definition production truck with QuStream's Cheetah routing equipment and UDC up/down/cross converter.

The Cheetah 288x576 that was selected occupies a space of only 18 RU and uses standard-sized BNC connectors. It also allows the mixing of copper and fiber connecting cables.

"We evaluated the top routing manufacturers in the market and found the QuStream equipment to be the most advanced and flexible for our needs," said Robert Lyon, president of Lyon Video. "QuStream has proven to be the leading supplier of routing, control, and processing in the mobile production market and we are excited to use their equipment in this new truck."

The truck also incorporates QuStream fiber I/Os for combining two video frames via fiber.

The new 53-foot vehicle will provide additional facilities to meet the requirements of Lyon's customers, which include networks, corporate entities and entertainment clientele.
