Digidesign promoted Dave Lebolt to the post of senior vice president of Avid Technology Inc. and general manager of Digidesign. He will continue to work on developing creative professional audio tools.
Lebolt has been with Digidesign since 1994, most recently as the vice president of product strategy. Before Digidesign, he was a professional keyboardist, producer, arranger and composer was has toured and/or recorded with David Bowie, Billy Joel and Laurie Anderson. He has also worked in advertising music in New York City and won Clio and Emmy awards for various productions.
