KLAS-TV, the CBS affiliate in Las Vegas, is now taking advantage of Chyron’s Axis on-line content creation system. According to the station’s creative director, Lee Minard, the graphics being produced by the system are being used to bolster newscasts and to support weather graphics requirements.
"We now have traditional graphics people using Axis right alongside newscast producers and directors," said Minard. "The simplicity of use for creating over-the-shoulder and full screen graphics has allowed us to easily and cost-effectively create graphic content for our programs without sacrificing quality. In Axis we found a solution that is easy to maintain and simple enough that people who are not graphic artists can use it without jeopardizing our on-air look."
Axis is a software-as-a-service package that operates via the Internet to deliver high quality graphics fro broadcasters and new media producers.
