Hirota to Head JVC Professional Products Co.

Kirk Hirota, a 20 year veteran with JVC, has been appointed president of JVC Professional Products Co., replacing Mike Yoshida who is retiring.

Hirota will concentrate on expanding the company HDTV and video over IP markets and apply new technological advancements into the company's traditional product line to open up new markets, according to a company statement.

"We are very pleased to have an executive of Mr. Hirota's caliber taking over as head of JVC Professional Product Company," said Mr. Shigeharu Tsuchitani, chairman, JVC Americas Corp. "He brings with him vast experience in sales, product planning and business development, and has shown that he has the strategic vision needed to ensure JVC's success in the professional products marketplace. His industry knowledge, management skills and leadership abilities will be of enormous value to JVC in the coming years."

Although Hirota just joined JVC's Professional Products Co. in April, he has more than 20 years experience with JVC, working in sales, business development, product planning, system integration and video surveillance technologies.
