EchoStar Communications has named Gary Howard as its tenth board of director's member.
Effective Nov. 8, Howard will also begin serving on the Nominating and Compensation Committee of the EchoStar board.
Howard was the executive vice president and chief operating officer of Liberty Media Corp. from July 1998 to February 2004 and served on its board of directors from July 1998 to January 2005.
