First Calrec Zeta 100 Goes to Air in Oklahoma

KJRH-TV in Tulsa, Okla. has gone live to air with a 40-fader Calrec Zeta 100 digital console, the first of the consoles to go live to air since its debut at NAB2003. Zeta 100 is configured with 24 mono and 32 stereo channels, and will be installed in the station's studio A/B. KJRH (NBC), a mid-market station with a high focus on local news, will use the console primarily for local news and to produce live programming for a minimum of 4.5 hours every day.

"We have been in the process of converting the facility to digital for four year," says KJRH engineering manager Dale Vennes. "Installing a digital console was next on the list. The fact that the Zeta is a hybrid with an integral router made the integration simple."
