According to FCC Broadcast Station Totals list released last Wednesday, as of September 30, 2004 there were:
* 777 commercial UHF TV stations
* 589 commercial VHF TV stations
* 255 UHF and 127 VHF Educational TV stations
* 492 UHF and 110 VHF Class A TV stations
* TV translators totaled 2,629 UHF and 1,905 VHF TV translators
* 2,053 LPTV stations, which include 1,557 UHF stations and 496 VHF stations
