Dish Dedicates Channel to Hurricane Info Network

To help educate viewers and victims of Hurricane Katrina, Dish Network has dedicated KIN, on channel 206, free of charge to all DishNetwork customers during the recovery period.

A survivor list, key telephone numbers and updates provided by hurricane relief agencies will be some of the content that users have access to on KIN, developed by Washington, D.C.-based media production and distribution company Flying Color Broadcasts.

Additionally, Dish Network Business Solutions division and Clear Channel have teamed up to transmit Clear Channel's Baton Rouge FM radio signals to New Orleans stations local listeners can be up-to-date information about relief efforts.
