DISH Claims Nearly Universal Local into Local

With the addition of stations from Cheyenne, Wyo., EchoStar Communications said its DISH Network now offers local stations in 127 U.S. markets serving nearly 90 percent of the country's households. This newest market means that DISH Network provides local station service in 50 states as well as the District of Columbia.

Local TV station service from the DISH Network in many markets, including Cheyenne, involves upgrading to the company's SuperDISH, a single small dish that has the capability to receive signals from three satellites. In addition to local stations in 127 markets, DISH Network also features interactive programming, a high-definition service and a receiver with a built-in PVR.
