Decker Anstrom is the new chairman of the board of directors of the National Cable & Telecommunications Association. He previously served as president and CEO of the cable lobby from 1994 to 1999. He is now president and chief operating officer of Landmark Communications in Norfolk, Va.
Additional officers elected include Tom Rutledge, chief operating officer of Cablevision, as vice chairman; Bob Miron, chairman and CEO of Advance/Newhouse Communications as secretary; and Pat Esser, president of Cox Communications as treasurer.
The executive committee for 2007-08 comprises the officers; Brian Roberts, chairman and CEO of Comcast Corp.; Glenn Britt, president and CEO of Time Warner Cable; Rocco Commisso, chairman and CEO of Mediacom Communications; Ronald Duncan, president and CEO of GCI Cable; Jerry Kent, chairman and CEO of Suddenlink Communications; Judith McGrath, chairman and CEO of MTV Networks; Neil Smit, president and CEO of Charter Communications; Michael S. Willner, vice chairman and CEO of Insight Communication; and NCTA President and CEO Kyle McSlarrow in an ex officio role.
