Chris Howe to Lead Red Bee Media Australia

Chris Howe is taking over management of Red Bee Media Australia from this month. His appointment follows the resignation of RED BEE Australia managing director, Mick Morris.

Howe designed the technical architecture in Red Bee Media's Broadcast Centre in London and relocated to Australia in September 2007 to take up the position of Director of Technology for Red Bee Media Australia.

He will now over see the company's Australian operation, including the Australian Caption Centre (acquired by Red Bee in February 2006), which provides subtitling services for Nine Network, Seven, Network Ten and SBS; major advertisers and their agencies; video and DVD distributors; subscription television channels; and conferences in Australia and overseas.

Pam Masters, CEO, Red Bee Media, said: "I am pleased that Chris Howe will be leading our Australian business. His knowledge of broadcast technology and Red Bee Media is unrivalled and I am confident that, under his management, Red Bee Media Australia will continue to grow and prosper."

Red Bee Media Australia has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. To meet expansion demands within the Australian market the Sydney office will soon be moving from the current Haymarket location to a new purpose-built Media Centre at Rosebery.
