Canon HD Wide-Angle Lens Captures Red Carpet Series

October 15, 2004
Viewers can soon watch glamorous red carpet walks and celebrity interviews in high-def on "INHD: Reel Look."

The new Hollywood series--broadcast on the INHD cable network--is filmed using Canon HJ9X5.5B IRSD wide-angle lens.

"Having a wide-angle lens that has the quickness and fast rating of the 9-to-1 makes it the perfect lens for that environment," said Randall Dark, president and cofounder of HD Vision Studios.

Dark uses the wide-angle lens with the Sony HDW-F900 HDCam camcorder. Canon now has a new HJ11ex4.7B IRSE model of the lens.

Dark said that he planned to produce several episodes of the "INHD; Reel Look" per month.

"I'll be using Canon technology to do this," he said.

INHD and INHD2 comprise a suite of high-definition networks that feature commercial-free movies and sports.
