CableLabs Announces Five Top Promotions

CableLabs has promoted several of its top-level executives.

Don Dulchinos was appointed to senior vice president of advanced platforms and services (APS). Dulchinos, formerly vice president of APS, is now responsible for extending the OpenCable architecture to incorporate new capabilities like home networking.

Michelle Kuska has been tapped to be the new vice president of broadband access, and will lead the combined efforts of DOCSIS cable modems and CableHome networking plans.

Former chief security architect, Oscar Marcia, was promoted to vice president of Security at CableLabs, leading a security group.

Consumer electronics veteran, David Broberg, will serve as the vice president, consumer video technology, APS. He was the director for OpenCable requirements for the APS group.

Jean-Francois Mulé moves to vice president, IP technologies and services. Mulé was the lead architect for PacketCable and will focus on real-time IP communication services over cable broadband networks.
