ATI, Samsung to Cooperate on Next-Generation DTV Products

Samsung's DTV set-top boxes have a reputation as having one of the better off-air DTV tuners. The company announced an agreement with ATI Technologies Inc. announced to jointly develop Samsung's next generation of DTV platforms. The new Samsung DTV's will use ATI's XILLEON and NXTWAVE chips.

Geoff Phillips, VP and General Manger of ATI's digital television business unit commented, "ATI has a longstanding successful relationship with Samsung.
