'Watchmen,' 'Coraline' Lead in Top 10 Blu-ray Sales

The latest Blu-ray Top 10 movie sales data shows "Watchmen" entering the list in the top slot, followed by Tim Burton's latest partly computer-enhanced, partly stop-motion fable, "Coraline."

In what may be a bit surprising to some observers, "Pushing Daisies"—the short-lived ABC series—is showing healthy signs of life in the Blu-ray realm by placing no. 8 for the release of its second (and final) season. The quirky series starring Kristin Chenoweth was widely believed to have been fatally injured by the Hollywood writers' strike of a couple of years ago.

All-time Blu-ray sales record holder "The Dark Knight" continues to remain in the running, albeit topping out at no. 10. Half of the Top 10 titles belong to Warner Brothers.

The Blu-ray Top 10 sales for the week ending July 25, according to Rentrak:

  1. "Watchmen" (Warner Bros.)
  2. "Coraline" (Universal)
  3. "Knowing" (Summit)
  4. "The Haunting in Connecticut" (Lionsgate)
  5. "300: The Complete Experience" (Warner Bros.)
  6. "Push" (Summit)
  7. "Gran Torino" (Warner Bros.)
  8. "Pushing Daisies: Season 2" (Warner Bros.)
  9. "Prison Break: The Final Break" (20th Century Fox)
