TV2GO selects FOR-A HD frame rate converter

International satellite transmission and video production company TV2GO recently installed a FOR-A FRC-7000 HD frame rate converter for standards conversion of material transmitted between Europe and North America.

TV2GO’s teleport offers satellite and fiber connectivity between North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

The FRC-7000 uses motion compensation processing via motion vectors to convert field frequencies and enables conversion between different HD frame rates. Use of motion vectors reduces judder and video resolution deterioration in field frequency conversion.

The frame rate converter can detect scene cuts automatically and convert frame rates between 1080/59.94i and 50i, and between 720/59.94p and 50p.
